Resident Evil

Capcom created the genre of survival horror. While I might prefer the Silent Hill series for its psychological horror and cryptic storyline, Resident Evil was the first title that injected more than action based adrenaline into gamer minds. Game Developers utilized dark scores and eerie ambient sounds found in horror films and implimented distorted camera angles to solidify the unique qualities of the survival horror genre.

    About spot on. I've been loving this series from the get go. Yes, RE4 was kind of off the beaten path, but it does have connections (Most seen if you have the PS2 version, and can see Seperate Ways. Then you see a bit more of Wesker (Yeah, him.), aclling the shots from behind the scenes. As for more of an action title, yeah, guilty as charged, but then again, I ahve older RE titles to fall back onto for "Yeah, maybe I should save this magnum for the final boss, then only have to use half the clip." Anyhow, fairly spot on
